ROLE: INCIDENT MANAGER
Location: Lagos
Pay: Very Attractive

Job Summary:
· Manages the process within MSTOP to restore normal service operation as quickly as possible to minimize the impact to business operations & is responsible for planning and coordinating all the activities required to perform, monitor, and report on the process.

Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and facilitate the engaged team toward the restoration of service in the shortest possible lead times.
· Engage relevant stakeholders & escalate when necessary to expedite resolution.
· Ensure RT adopts an optimal mindset which balances the best path to resolution and protection of customer interests.
· Initiate management and technical escalations when required to protect customer interests.
· Log all Incident details, allocating approved categorization and prioritization.
· Keep users informed about their Incidents’ status at agreed intervals.
· Associate Incidents with other records (i.e. Changes, Problems, repetitive incidents).
· Provide first-line investigation and diagnosis of all Incidents via a major incident reports.
· Ensure the recovery team remains sensitive to the collection and correlation of data for potential RCA post-event.
· Escalate critical outages to Problem Manager after restoration for RCA (As defined in MSTOP).
· Remain available at all times during the designated shift and/or roster period.
· End to end incident owner.

Qualification/ Skills and Experience Required:
· Candidate should have at least B-Tech/ B.E.
· At least 3-6 Years of experience
· Should be available to work 24 hours a day and 7 days a week i.e. Running shifts
· Candidate must be Fit and healthy for 24 hours a day and 7 days a week; without any social or personal concerns now or in the near future.
· Leadership skills: Good in People and Process Management
· Must have excellent communication skills i.e. excellent written and verbal communication
· Should possess good values and behavior
· Must be Pro-active and able to work under pressure

Job Summary:
· Managing Network Operations Center (NOC) 24X7 environment & act as a mentor to the shift resources. The role is to handle the day to day operational challenges and ensure smooth operations and as per the contract agreements. Leading by example will be the key attribute desired for the role

Key Responsibilities:
· Responsible for day to day operational performance
· Managing a team of 25-30 resources
· Planning for and ensuring team members’ competence enhancement
· Ensuring KPI / SLA Fulfillment related to Network Surveillance & 1st Level troubleshooting of the events taking place on the network
· Review of Performance Metrics for the shift resources and implementation of Corrective & Preventive actions if required
· Ensuring a high motivation level of team resources
· Attrition Management
· Providing Technical guidance and Leadership to the team members
· Conducting Performance Appraisals
. Fulfillment of Balanced Scorecard / OPM parameters
· To plan & perform all the shift operational activities.
· To support and implement MSTOP processes.
· To Approve and review the leave of people in his/her team.
· Authorized to report security breach incidences.
· Authorized for sanctioning shift allowances of his/her team members.
· To suggest for corrective and preventive actions of security threats.
· To act as a planned work co-ordinator for emergency requests beyond normal office hours


Qualification/ Skills/ Experience Required:
· Degree within Electronics Engineering / Telecommunication Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent. E.g B.Tech/ B.Eng
· Industry experience: Telecom / Customer Management
· At least 7-9 Years of experience
· Certifications: ITIL / CCNA/JNCIA/CCIP (Will be an added advantage)
· Technical and/or functional skills: GSM & CDMA Knowledge, Telecom Service Network, Service Application characteristics, Implementation & integration of processes
· People Management, Interpersonal Skills, Customer Relationship Management
· Leadership skills: People Management, Leader attributes
· Must have excellent communication skills i.e. excellent written and verbal communication skills
. Language skills:
· Proficiency in Written & Spoken English & Hindi

Interview Prep and Guides

Good evening all;

Please on the day of your interview you must do the following and don't do the following;

1. As a guy, even ladies don't wear red trousers or skirts for an interview.

2. Guys, you can put on black or grey trousers, ladies black, grey or dark blue skirts. More on this I will talk on subsequently.

3. Putting on palm slippers and Kitto sandals for interviews are highly prohibited both male and female.

4. Don't go for an interview with a calculator if you were not asked to come with one.

5. On the day of an interview don't go about looking for a place to charge your phone in a company you have not been officially welcomed in as a staff, that is unprofessional. Your phone is down, right, keep it at home or leave it in your pocket or bag. Asking a staff of the company to charge for you is not also allowed, remember there are CCTV watching you.

6. Going to an interview venue to request a photocopy of your credentials or CV is not allowed, all this must be done before getting into the company premises.

7. Watch the way you sit, talk and what you drink or eat. Chewing gum is a no-no, come along with your bottled water, leave their cWAY water dispenser alone, you are just there for a few minutes. If you can't hold your taste buy your own bottled water it is N50.

8. After you have been interviewed don't just stand up and leave make sure you ask reasonable questions when I say reasonable questions, I mean good ones. Don't ask when I am to resume or how much am I going to be paid, all that will be communicated to you, you can just shoot them with "Sir or ma, if you were to rate the former Account Officer on the scale of 10 what will you score him or her?"
That question is a big question and it will always lead to interesting discussions.

9. Be prepared at all times, brush your IT skills cos we are currently in a globalized world, analogue is almost gone, you can be in an interview and you will be asked to open an excel sheet and compose the salary of 3 staff from October till December. Some questions can be silly, some can be a test on your typing speed, just be prepared.
